The horsebox is situated in a small wooded area, looks over a hay meadow and is surrounded with a garden that offers complete privacy.

The view from the sofa looks out into the garden when the main door is open and the door can be raised and lowered as you like to give full access to outdoors.

There is a snug seating area in front of a wood burning stove and enough wood to keep the fire going if the evenings get cooler.

About - Situation

 

The horsebox is fitted with a small kitchen.

There is a a gas cooker and in the cupboads there are most pots, pans and utensils you will need.

We also provide various teas and coffee, salt pepper and olive oil to get you going.

On arrival you will be welcomed with a box of delicious Rustic cakes!

 

 

About - Kitchen

 

The sleeping area comprises of a double bed in the 'luton' area, above the cab of the lorry itself.

There is plenty of cupboard space for clothes and stuff and the cupboards also provide the steps up to the bed area.

There are 4 pillows and a luxury down duvet plus extra blankets.

Bed linen and towels are provided although you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

About - Sleeping Area

 

Lay in bed with the big door open, hear the birds singing in the trees outside and the breeze rustling the leaves!

You will hear Skylarks singing over the hay meadow in the spring, Wrens, Robins, Finches and Blackbirds during the day and Tawny owls hooting at night.

We have a number of bird nest boxes in the woods around the Horsebox so it can be busy in the spring time with Great Tits and Blue Tits taking the opportunity for safe nesting places. 

About - View

 

A short distance away from the horsebox are your own private facilities consisting of a composting loo and shower room.

From the toilet there is a lovely view across the hay meadow to the horizon and it's a lovely place to watch the sunrise...if you're up and about early!

The shower and washing facilities have instantaneous hot running water with a large sink to wash-up in, a small fridge and a place to store coats and boots etc.

Lighting is powered by photovoltaic solar panels. There are also lanterns and tealights.

 

About - Facilities

The door can be raised and lowered as you like to give full access to outdoors.

There is a snug seating area in front of a wood burning stove and enough wood to keep the fire going if the evenings get cooler.

The horsebox also has a table and chairs and plenty of storage space for your belongings. Also provided are some board games for some evening fun and a radio. 

About - Snug

 

We have a lovely rocket stove and a small BBQ if you want to cook outside. 

The rocket stove is fired by twigs that have naturally fallen from growing trees, once dried they make excellent fuel and provide very intense heat great for cooking.

We provide FSC produced lumpwwod charcoal for the small BBQ.
