Organic Horsebox Holidays in Cornwall

This traditional wooden horsebox has been renovated into a beautiful, comfortable living space with a double bed area. The horsebox offers an opportunity for two people to stay on an organic, working smallholding in beautiful Cornwall. The horsebox is situated in a small wooded area with its own private garden space and exclusive facilities, overlooking a traditional hay meadow.

St. Agnes Heritage Coast is 2 miles in distance, a beautiful walk from the horsebox, connected by footpaths. Also the coastal villages of St. Agnes and Perranporth are close, with wonderful beaches, good facilities and lots of places to eat out.

Exclusive facilities and private garden. The horsebox has a private garden for you to relax in and your own exclusive facilities within the garden space. It is fenced and safe for children and pets.

The truck is off-grid, this means using solar electricity for 12 V lighting, a composting toilet and reed bed filtration for waste water. It’s a wildlife paradise with trees, hedges and meadows which provide natural habitats for all sorts of native flora and fauna.

The Hayman Reserve, owned by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust  is a short walk away and the area is laced with a network of footpaths, bridle-paths and old track-ways.

The Miner's Arms is within walking distance, the local pub serves a great selection of food including a vegan options and real Cornish Ales and Ciders.

Guests have access to any seasonal veg growing in the gardens and polytunnels and upon arrival will be welcomed with a Cornish cream tea with homemade jam and scones.

Pets welcome: There is a secure garden for pets, please contact us if you would like to bring your pet/s.

Our guests say...

We arrived at the Horsebox for a four-night break hopeful of peace and renewal and we received a reward for the eyes, the senses and the soul....(please read the whole review on our testimonial page)

Agnes is perfect in every way! The tranquillity and comfort is testament to the owners’ hard work over many years and the space they’ve created is utterly magical. We were very lucky with the weather and it was perfect all weekend, but even in the rain, I imagine Agnes would be a little oasis of warmth and comfort. Thank you, for letting us enjoy a little slice of heaven.

We had a lovely 4 night stay here. Everything was lovely, Marie was an excellent host and we had everything we needed. The veg on site was delicious! Oh and the jams! 10/10 stay. We would definitely go back

We had a wonderful relaxing time. We really loved the peace and quiet, hearing the owls calling to each other at night, and being outside in the stillness of the morning as the world woke around us. We were able to get to the coast really easily, it was possible to walk there but we drove so we could walk further along the coast path, but we did walk to the local pub which was really welcoming. Marie mad us feel really welcome, introduced us to her dogs, showed us around their site answering all our gardening questions and helped us get some of the lovely cakes she provided to take home for our friends. We are already wondering when we can return!

Idyllic, quiet, private, cosy, immaculately clean, owners lovely and helpful but gave us our desperately needed solitude.

The Tree of Life Horsebox is packaged transcendence. Nature literally audibly and visually speaks volumes here....The peace is deafening. A great place to stay to de-frag, re-synch, and recharge away from the rat-race. If you are intentionally looking to sever / detach / disconnect from modern day living you will get an authentic taster at the horse box. Don't be put off by the idea of an earth/composting toilet - there is no smell at all - and you will never get such a great view when you're back at home. The shower room is fabulous too. The horse box is an experience of living with nature outside in, without sacrificing modern conveniences such as; clean towels, hot running water, fridge unit, gas stove and oven, wood burner (with as many logs as you need free of charge), pots, pans, tea and coffee, cutlery, crockery, comfy bed etc. And the hosts are second to none. The location was perfect for us....On your doorstep are plentiful walks, beaches, cafes, pubs, and even the city of Truro (with a generous amount of shops). The delights of St. Ives only 30 mins away too. Dear Agnes (the horse box) - we love you!
